Course structure and goals
Each week, you'll explore:
A theme related to the experiential spirit of Iyengar Yoga, supported by readings and quotes from B.K.S. Iyengar and other inspirational sources
An asana practice (weeks 1,3,5,7) to help you embody and understand the theme
An asana laboratory lesson (weeks 2,4,6,8) that breaks down some of the poses in the sequence, incorporating creative use of props and Iyengar principles
Homework that will reinforce what you've learned and prep you for the next week
8-WEEK IMMERSION OUTLINE:
Weeks 1 and 2. Theme: Vertical Extension, Horizontal Expansion
Weeks 3 and 4. Theme: Health and Awareness (Periphery to Core, Core to Periphery)
Weeks 5. and 6. Theme: Integrity of Movement and Balance
Weeks 7. and 8. Theme: Lightness and Ease
