How will I get the gift certificate?
Your gift certificate is going to be emailed to you at the day of your purchase. However, if you want the certificate mailed to you, please list your address as the shipping address. If you would like it mailed directly to the recipient, please list his/her address instead. Gift certificates are mailed within 1 day of purchase and they must be used by February 28th, 2018!
How does it work?
Olga will contact the gift recipient and schedule the one-on-one yoga session at her Yoga with Olga yoga studio in Ellicott City.
WHAT TO EXPECT?
Option#1: Pampering and Restorative Yoga Session - Restorative yoga is a form of yoga that seeks to achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation with the aid of blankets, bolsters and other yoga props. The use of props makes it easier to maintain balance while a participant is stimulating and relaxing her body.
Option #2:Yoga for Back Care - The yoga session is for anyone who has (or has had) back pain or discomfort or those who want to improve their back health. I will cover: 1. A basic introduction of back anatomy & physiology. 2. Common causes of back pain. 3. Why yoga asana practice is better for a healthy back than other exercise programs. 4. Yoga postures to strengthen, support and soothe your back. No previous yoga experience is necessary.
Option #3: Yoga for Stiff Shoulders and Tight Neck - The session is great for anyone who has chronic tightness or pain in shoulders, neck, upper, middle, or lower back. Many of us struggle with headaches, or we find ourselves clenching our jaw from spending hours at the computer, or texting, or video-gaming, sitting and reading, or watching TV. Many of us spend hours driving, gardening, or carrying a heavy purse or backpack. This session will explore ways to relax tight muscles, strengthen weak muscles, and increase range of motion in tight areas.
Option #4: Yoga to Manage Your Mood (anxiety/depression issues). The session is great for anyone who would like to learn how yoga can help mold and manage different moods. A participant will experience how special yoga techniques can help them feel more energized when they are down and depressed, and how it can improve focus when they are distracted.
Option #5: Yoga for Stress Relief and Better Sleep - All of us combat stress in different forms in everyday life. Our mind body complex is a marvel of creation both intricate and subtle. The practice of yoga provides a path to deal with stress more effectively. With increased knowledge about the body, its energy systems, the mind, the soul and their interrelationships, we can learn to live more harmonious, better integrated lives and health is a natural consequence of this. This session will cover asanas (postures) to regulate effects of stress on the body, breathing techniques to calm the nerves and meditation to clear the mind.
